Role Summary

Regional Business Director (RBD) for Neuroscience focusing on COBENFY in the Midwest. Leads a team of District Business Managers and specialists to support US commercialization of COBENFY, the first treatment targeting muscarinic receptor circuits for schizophrenia. Requires 2nd line leadership and strong account management experience with a track record of achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Mobilize a region of District Business Managers, Institutional/Mental Health Account Specialists, and Therapeutic Area Specialists behind the BMS mission/pledge and brand vision and strategy.
  • Translate regional strategy into specific goals and business plans considering geography, payer landscape, and customer mix.
  • Develop, review, and modify region business plans proactively.
  • Interpret and integrate complex data to develop communication strategies to drive regional performance.
  • Identify and secure resources and align with matrix teams to execute region plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts across customer bases (healthcare systems, advocacy groups, providers).
  • Develop contingency plans and make tradeoff decisions in support of strategic priorities.
  • Lead organizational change and ensure alignment around changes.
  • Manage regional operational and brand budget and allocate funds to region priorities.
  • Set and track measurable objectives; analyze performance and execution for the regional team.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals using approved materials and resources.
  • Recruit, select, and develop talent to achieve competitive performance.
  • Maintain accountability for business results and embody BMS values.
  • Model and enforce Best-in-Class Compliance with all applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 20+ years of pharmaceutical commercial experience in sales leadership or broad cross-functional roles.
  • Psychiatry/Schizophrenia sales leadership experience preferred but not required.
  • Proven recruiting and team-building ability.
  • Understanding of acute care, hospital, and healthcare systems; experience launching new products or indications and building launch readiness.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and bottom-line accountability skills.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and fostering an engaging organizational culture.
  • Ability to translate strategies into team and individual goals; strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail; highly accountable; able to work in a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects; experience in an emerging publicly traded company is a plus.
  • Driver requirements: eligible to operate a company-provided vehicle; minimum 21 years old; valid license; acceptable driving risk level.
