Position Summary
- The MCED Sales β Regional Business Director (RBD) drives regional MCED growth and owns strategic, executive-level customer relationships for Caris Detect. Leads, coaches, and develops a team of 6β9 Account Managers and Early Detection Specialists, and manages a portfolio of strategic/complex accounts (e.g., academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, executive health programs, and large group practices).
Job Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed regional sales revenue, adoption, and growth targets.
- Align enterprise strategy with regional execution; surface market insights, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
- Analyze regional performance, pipeline, and utilization trends to identify growth opportunities/risks.
- Develop and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for strategy, forecasting, outcomes, and growth initiatives.
- Build/train/lead a high-performing sales team; drive accountability to volume and revenue through clinical selling and strategic account planning.
- Lead DTP/DTC engagement strategies to influence clinical decision-making and support integration into care pathways.
- Maintain knowledge of internal/competitive products, services, solutions, and reimbursement/billing.
- Establish/maintain senior-level relationships with strategic accounts.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Operations, Laboratory, IT, and Payer teams.
- Submit required administrative documentation; maintain assigned company assets; provide meeting/trade show support; perform other related duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree (life sciences, business, or related).
- 5+ years experience in early detection, oncology diagnostics, precision medicine, or complex healthcare sales.
- 5+ years proven people leadership with direct accountability.
- Strong understanding of physician relationships and clinical needs; strategic/enterprise account success.
- Ability to work in a complex matrix environment.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills; influential collaborator.
- Self-directed, analytical/organizational; proficient with CRM, reporting tools, Microsoft Office.
- Problem management, process analysis, root cause analysis; understanding healthcare business policies.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable vehicle/insurance.
- Ability to spend ~50% time in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA/advanced degree.
- Early detection/diagnostic technology experience.
- Strategic account and/or project management experience.
- Experience with academic medical centers, large IDNs, or longevity concierge care networks.
