Position Summary
Regional Business Director (RBD), Immunology: drive sales performance, strategic execution, and customer engagement across a defined geographic region. Design and implement business plans based on strategic analysis. Manage, coach, and develop Account Managers to ensure exceptional performance in a competitive rare disease/specialty market. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize field strategy, enhance customer experience, and support immunology portfolio launches.

Key Responsibilities
- Hire, lead, develop, and inspire Account Managers to achieve/exceed regional sales goals.
- Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, integrity, strategic execution, and professional development.
- Develop performance plans for AM skill growth, capability building, and succession.
- Conduct field rides and coaching to model best practices and reinforce customer-centric engagement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Translate national brand strategy into actionable regional business plans.
- Use market data/analytics and customer insights to identify opportunities/challenges and adjust strategy.
- Oversee pull-through of brand initiatives, launch plans, and disease-area priorities.
- Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders for aligned, compliant execution.
- Establish relationships with key immunology customers (HCPs, administrators, institutions).
- Support AM territory plans and customer insights.
- Communicate customer needs and marketplace dynamics to inform strategy/resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services for coordinated, compliant engagement.
- Support leadership with congress activities, regional events, and speaker programs.
- Manage regional budget and report performance trends, recommendations, and competitive insights.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years pharma/biotech commercial experience; 5–7+ years leading field sales teams.
- Strongly preferred: rheumatology, immunology, rare disease, biologics, or specialty care.
- Proven team leadership with performance planning and skill development.
- Track record of strong sales performance in competitive specialty markets.
- Strong payer dynamics/specialty pharmacy distribution/access knowledge.
- Excellent strategic thinking, business planning, analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal leadership.
- Ability to travel extensively across the region.
- Preferred resident: Chicago or Detroit area.

Benefits/Compensation
- Competitive compensation and benefits package; base salary range $220,000–$270,000; includes annual performance bonus, equity, and full-range benefits.
