Regional Business Director (Great Lakes: WI, IL, IN, MI, OH, KY, TN) β€” Gastroenterology Rare Disease Sales Team

Objectives
- Achieve Business Unit sales objectives via Quarterly Business Reviews and coaching.
- Lead/build the regional sales team; support/coaching for Regional Business Managers; manage relationships with key customers/professionals/internal stakeholders; oversee regional sales business operations (budgets, policies/procedures, sales/account data).

Accountabilities
- Plan/direct/implement/oversee sales activities and policies for a geographic region.
- Execute regional marketing strategies to meet quarterly/yearly company sales objectives.
- Review sales plan implementation quarterly; analyze territories to expand business and improve rep effectiveness.
- Maintain deep knowledge of local customers/networks; communicate personnel/product/market issues to management.
- Coordinate selling efforts with managed care and national accounts.
- Set performance standards; observe/document performance; counsel/coach reps; recruit/train/manage performance.
- Manage expenses to allocated budget; conduct POA/launch meetings; liaise between corporate office and field sales.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- BS/BA.
- 3–5 years as a pharmaceutical representative with proven selling success.
- Experience selling/managing reps in an institutional environment.
- Strategic/business planning and coaching/motivation abilities; analyze complex data for actionable plans.
- Strong verbal/written/presentation communication; Microsoft Office.
- Reside within/close to assigned geography.

Preferred
- 2–3 years district management; product launch/turnaround; Rare Disease and/or GI experience; MBA/Masters.

Licenses/Travel
- Valid driver’s license.
- Some overnight travel; possible evenings/weekends; work from home office when not traveling.
