The Regional Business Director (RBD) provides leadership, direction, and developmental guidance to a team of sales professionals to achieve commercial objectives. Reporting to the Area Vice President of Sales, the RBD develops and executes strategic and tactical plans to meet and exceed sales goals while aligning with company values.

Location: Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA (ideal candidate).

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, and retain top sales talent; build and lead a high-performing team.
- Develop team members via coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Promote a collaborative, accountable culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Use performance metrics and market insights to drive growth and accountability.
- Enhance field performance using internal resources, expertise, and best practices.
- Conduct weekly field visits, business reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Motivate and coach sales professionals to execute strategies and maximize territory performance.
- Provide clear verbal and written feedback; address performance gaps through timely coaching.
- Serve as a trusted company representative; improve patient outcomes and drive customer value.
- Lead sales meetings; communicate organizational priorities; collaborate cross-functionally.
- Build relationships with physicians and key opinion leaders through consistent communication.

Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years bioscience commercial experience (pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostics, biotechnology/lifesciences) and 2–5 years sales leadership.
- Highly desirable: rescue markets/specialty spaces, diabetes, medical device, or complex selling environments.
- Ability to influence performance using key metrics; hold team accountable.
- Strong coaching/mentoring track record; proven ability to build culture.
- Competencies: leadership, strategic thinking, organization, self-directed, EQ, strong written/verbal communication, decision-making, customer engagement, analytical skills, teamwork.

Working Conditions:
- Periodic evening/weekend work as needed.
- Vehicle and airline travel; valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Support field work 3–4 days/week; up to 75% travel.
