Regional Account Manager (RAM)
What You Will Do
- Represent Amgen products to top-tier physicians, healthcare professionals, and affiliated institutional systems.
- Establish product sales and perform total strategic account management.
- Provide disease information and education to medical professionals and affiliates that drive treatment decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Consistently achieve quarterly sales objectives through patient-centered disease/product education while adhering to corporate compliance guidelines.
- Execute strategic account business plans to implement marketing plan goals; allocate resources based on leading/lagging indicators and achieve brand outcomes.
- Work effectively in a matrix environment; anticipate and share insights, remain agile, adjust strategies, and seek feedback to improve performance.
- Use available resources/programs (including peer-to-peer education and cross-functional partners) to address knowledge gaps.
- Navigate opportunities across academic institutions, IDNs, ACOs, and community hospital systems; conduct strategic conversations and present solutions.
- Build relationships with key KOLs within coverage area/therapeutic areas.
- Promote/support use of company products within target institutions, often with medical/scientific teams.
- Understand market access (regulations, reimbursement models, payer trends).
- Identify/pursue new institutional channel business opportunities.
- Monitor/analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity.
- Maintain deep disease/therapeutic clinical and scientific knowledge; proactively share approved messages.
- Use a consultative, highly technical, solution-oriented selling approach for Neuro-Immunologic patient needs to influence treatment decisions.
- Ensure adherence to compliance policies with appropriate documentation/reporting.
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years account management/sales/commercial experience OR
- Masterβs + 6 years OR
- Bachelorβs + 8 years OR
- Associate + 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in office injection/infusion sales with extensive coordination with patient access services.
- Matrix selling experience (patient services, market access, medical affairs, reimbursement) with patient centricity.
- Market development/deep profiling in rare, unmet spaces.
- Demonstrated success educating HCPs on complex diseases with diverse patient profiles.
- Track record of consistent, exceptional performance; independent work in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong organizational/analytical/computer skills; proficient Microsoft Office.
- Requires ~20β30% travel (some overnight/weekends).
