Job Summary:
Regional Account Manager represents PTC products to medical professionals specializing in diagnosis/treatment of metabolic diseases and/or Phenylketonuria (PKU) in the assigned region. Manages compliant pharmaceutical sales operations, including generating sales, promoting clinical/economic benefits, building relationships, educating healthcare staff, and identifying growth opportunities. Works cross-functionally and supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company SOPs.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned sales targets and support metabolism business unit success.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; present strategy/performance; maintain ownership.
- Implement marketing strategies to meet sales and patient objectives (monthly/quarterly/yearly).
- Collaborate with Patient Services, Patient Engagement, Marketing, Managed Markets, and Medical Affairs.
- Communicate complex technical/business information verbally and in writing.
- Build partnerships with physicians/healthcare staff; identify treatment centers and optimize patient care.
- Establish relationships with patient/disease advocacy groups and thought leaders.
- Use consultative, solution-oriented selling; address product access and reimbursement issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (life sciences/business/healthcare preferred).
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales; 3+ years rare disease/orphan drug/highly specialized sales.
- Proven territory business plan execution; track record exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling in specialized clinics/hospitals/academic centers (complete account selling).
- Strong reimbursement/access knowledge (payer coverage, prior auth, specialty pharmacy).
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning/time management; Microsoft Office.
- Field-based: travel up to 75%; valid driver’s license and personal insured vehicle; daily facility entry with required credentialing.
- Preferred: experience with orphan/rare/specialty drugs, entrepreneurial/small-growth environments, and start-ups/new launches.

Compensation/Benefits (if eligible):
- Base salary range: $174,300–$225,500.
- Short- and long-term incentives; medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
