Regional Account Manager โ€” Metabolic Diseases/Phenylketonuria (PKU)

Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned sales targets in a compliant manner and contribute to the metabolism business unitโ€™s success.
- Develop, execute, and refine a strategic business plan for the assigned territory; present territory strategy/performance and maintain ownership.
- Implement marketing strategies to meet sales and patient objectives for metabolic and/or PKU products (monthly/quarterly/yearly).
- Collaborate in a matrix environment with Patient Services, Patient Engagement, Marketing, Managed Markets, and Medical Affairs.
- Communicate complex technical and business information verbally and in writing.
- Build partnerships with targeted physicians and healthcare staff; identify needs and discuss how PTC products/resources meet them.
- Identify key treatment centers/facilities and collaborate across centers to optimize patient care.
- Establish and maintain relationships with patient and disease-focused advocacy groups.
- Use a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach.
- Address and resolve product access and reimbursement issues.
- Cultivate relationships with key thought leaders in metabolic/PKU.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required (life sciences, business, or healthcare preferred).
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales.
- 3+ years rare disease, orphan drug, or specialized sales (high-cost specialty pharmacy coordination).
- Proven territory business planning/ownership; track record exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling in specialized clinics/hospitals/academic centers (account selling).
- Ability to analyze technical data and develop strategic business plans.
- Strong knowledge of reimbursement/payer coverage/prior authorization/specialty pharmacy distribution and patient access.
- Excellent verbal/written communication.
- Independent and collaborative work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and adaptable.
- Planning/organization/time management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Field-based: valid driverโ€™s license, personal automobile, travel up to 75% (nights/weekends as needed), daily hospital/medical facility entry with potential credentialing requirements.
