Job Description Summary
The Regional Account Manager represents PTCโ€™s products to medical professionals specializing in diagnosis and treatment of metabolic diseases and/or Phenylketonuria (PKU) in the assigned region. Handles operational pharmaceutical sales and services: generating sales; communicating/promoting clinical and economic benefits; building/maintaining relationships; educating healthcare staff; and identifying commercial and scientific growth opportunities. Works cross-functionally on sales-related issues and supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company SOPs.

Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned sales targets compliantly; contribute to the metabolism business unit.
- Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan; present territory strategy/performance and maintain ownership.
- Implement marketing strategies to meet sales and patient objectives (monthly/quarterly/yearly).
- Collaborate in a matrix environment with Patient Services, Patient Engagement, Marketing, Managed Markets, and Medical Affairs.
- Communicate complex technical/business information verbally and in writing.
- Build partnerships with physicians and healthcare staff; identify and optimize key treatment centers/facilities.
- Establish relationships with patient and disease-focused advocacy groups and thought leaders.
- Use a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach.
- Address and resolve product access and reimbursement issues.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required (Life sciences/business/healthcare preferred).
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales.
- 3+ years rare disease, orphan drug, or highly specialized sales (including high-cost specialty pharmacy coordination).
- Proven territory planning/execution and track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Experience selling in clinics/hospitals/academic centers with complete account selling.
- Strong reimbursement/access knowledge (payer coverage, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy distribution).
- Excellent verbal/written communication; analytical problem-solving; strong planning/time management; Microsoft Office.
- Field-based: valid driverโ€™s license, personal insured vehicle; extensive travel (up to 75%), including nights/weekends as needed; daily facility entry (credentialing/training/background/immunization compliance required).
- Preferred: experience in orphan/rare disease/specialty drugs; entrepreneurial/start-up environments and new product launches.

Compensation/Benefits (if eligible)
- Expected base salary range: $174,300โ€“$225,500.
- Short- and long-term incentives; medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans eligibility.
