Rare Disease Business Manager (RDBM) – Narcolepsy Type 1

Responsibilities
- Drive sales and territory growth by executing sales strategies in narcolepsy type 1.
- Collaborate with Regional Business Leader and cross-functional teams to educate HCPs and support patient access to an approved therapy.
- Support new product introduction: build relationships with targeted HCPs/accounts; generate demand through clinical education on the product, orexin system, and narcolepsy type 1.
- Implement sales/marketing plans using approved on-label materials to meet monthly/quarterly/annual goals.
- Engage specialty HCPs (sleep specialists, neurologists, pulmonologists, sleep centers/clinic staff).
- Analyze business trends and use data to tailor territory priorities.
- Use CRM for account documentation, pre-call planning, and post-call activity.
- Manage territory budget per compliance policies.
- Partner with Patient Access, Market Access, Marketing; provide feedback to Sales/Marketing leadership.

Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s (BS/BA).
- 3+ years pharma/biotech/med device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; or 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; ability to influence complex decision makers.
- Strong business acumen, strategic planning, territory/account management, and data interpretation.
- Collaboration in a matrix; payer access/reimbursement understanding (territory/regional/state).
- Adaptable and learning agile; ability to apply clinical expertise compliantly.
- Reside in/near assigned territory.

Preferred
- 5+ years pharma sales (rare disease/sleep preferred); regulated marketplace experience.
- Experience coordinating with patient access/market access; consultative/needs-based selling.
- Digital/AI-enabled process openness.

Licenses/Travel/Training
- Valid Driver’s License; travel/drive/fly as needed (up to ~25–50% overnight).
- Pass mandatory product training with written/oral exams.
