About the role: Rare Disease Business Manager β Primary Immune Deficiency (Kansas City, KS territory). Report to the Sr. Regional Business Director.
How you will contribute:
- Achieve sales quotas via new patient starts, outpatient infusion center/hospital sales, and patient retention on Takeda augmentation treatment.
- Deliver sales presentations; provide technical/administrative product information; educate HCPs and support resources.
- Identify influence points affecting diagnosis, treatment, and Rx/referral/order.
- Participate in community education events and conferences for HCPs and patients.
- Focus on Allergy/Immunology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, select Internal Medicine/Primary Care, and Neurologists.
- Analyze local/regional managed market trends to develop long- and short-term goals and a business plan.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Patient Services, Alternate Site Team, Integrated Health Systems, Market Access, and National Accounts.
- Work compliantly in a matrix environment handling confidential patient information.
Key skills:
- Organizational and territory planning; strong collaboration in matrix organizations; data acquisition/interpretation for sales strategy.
- Conduct community education; occasional nights/weekends; motivate extended team members.
Education/Qualifications (Required):
- BS/BA.
- 3+ years successful pharma/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience (or 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda).
- Excellent written/verbal communication; ability to influence multiple decision makers; business acumen and strategic planning; territory/account management; payer access/reimbursement knowledge.
- Adaptability and learning agility; must reside within assigned territory.
Preferred:
- 5+ years rare disease pharma sales; experience coordinating patient/market access; consultative/needs-based selling; regulated marketplace experience; digital/AI-enabled tools.
Travel: Ability to drive/fly; up to 50β60% overnight travel.
Training requirements: Mandatory product training with written/oral exams; initial non-exempt status and training pay rules; transition to exempt status after passing exams.
Location: USA β KS β Virtual.
