Rare Disease Business Manager β PI / CIDP
Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales quotas by driving new patient starts, outpatient infusion center/hospital sales, and retention on Takeda augmentation treatment.
- Conduct customer engagements with sales presentations and provide technical/administrative product information.
- Educate HCPs and patients on neuromuscular conditions and Takeda support resources.
- Understand office influence points affecting diagnosis, treatment, and Rx/referral/order.
- Participate in community education events and conferences.
- Analyze local/regional/managed market trends to build goals and a business plan.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Patient Services, Alternate Site Team, Integrated Health Systems, Market Access, and National Accounts.
- Work compliantly in a matrix environment handling confidential patient information.
- Follow patient-centric culture and PTRB (patient, trust, reputation, business).
Key skills:
- Organizational/territory planning; team and matrix collaboration; data acquisition/interpretation.
- Ability to conduct community education (occasional nights/weekends) and motivate extended team.
Qualifications:
Required: BS/BA; 3+ years pharma/biotech/med device selling (or 2+ years at Takeda); strong verbal/written communication; influence across decision makers; business acumen/strategic planning; territory/account management; payer access/reimbursement knowledge; adaptability; learning agility; must reside in territory.
Preferred: 5+ years rare disease pharma sales; consultative/needs-based selling; regulated marketplace experience; digital/AI-enabled processes; clinical/industry experience.
Licenses/Travel/Training:
- Valid driverβs license.
- Up to 25β50% overnight travel.
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams). Initial non-exempt OT eligibility during training; transition to exempt after.
