Responsibilities
- Drive sales and territory growth for narcolepsy type 1 by executing rare disease sales strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate with the Regional Business Leader and cross-functional teams to ensure HCPs are educated and patients have access to an approved therapeutic option.
- Establish relationships with targeted HCPs and accounts; generate demand post-regulatory approval through clinical education.
- After approval, implement sales/marketing plans using approved on-label materials to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals; execute brand strategies in the assigned territory.
- Engage and educate specialty HCPs (sleep specialists, neurologists, pulmonologists, sleep centers/clinic staff) on disease state and approved therapies.
- Analyze business trends using data to identify opportunities and tailor local/regional strategies.
- Use CRM to manage account profiles, develop pre-call plans, and document post-call activities.
- Manage a territory budget in compliance with company policies.
- Partner with Patient Access, Market Access, Marketing, and Sales/Marketing leadership to align strategies and share feedback.
- Adhere to compliance policies, guidelines, training, and relevant laws; seek clarification on compliance matters.

Qualifications (Required)
- BS/BA.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or relevant clinical/industry experience) OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to navigate complex selling environments and influence decision makers.
- Strong business acumen and strategic planning; interpret analytical data.
- Territory planning, strategic account management, and prioritization.
- Collaborative skills in a cross-functional matrix.
- Understanding of payer access and reimbursement at territory/regional/state levels.
- Adaptability; learning agility to develop and apply clinical expertise compliantly.
- Must reside within the territory or near assigned geography.

Qualifications (Preferred)
- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales, preferably rare disease or sleep disorders.
- Experience coordinating with patient access/market access for pharma/biologics.
- Relevant clinical/industry experience; consultative/needs-based selling.
- Experience in highly regulated marketplaces.
- Comfortable with emerging technologies, digital tools, and AI-enabled processes.

Licenses/Certifications & Travel
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to drive/fly; some overnight travel up to 25–50% (as required).

Training Requirements
- Successful completion of mandatory product training (written and oral exams).

Compensation/Benefits (if applicable)
- U.S. hourly wage range: $66.11–$90.91.
