Rare Disease Business Manager (RDBM) – LSD (Arizona/San Diego)

How you will contribute:
- Responsible for all business-related activities in geographic territory, including achievement of sales goals through executing brand strategies.
- Focus call points on target physicians treating lysosomal storage disorders; educate HCPs to support early diagnosis and/or treatment.
- Develop in-depth business plans with regional partners to allocate appropriate disease-state and product education.
- Conduct advanced customer engagement to build disease-state awareness within multidisciplinary healthcare specialties and support the LSD portfolio.
- Educate and inform HCPs on LSD portfolio products: signs and symptoms, differential diagnosis process, and appropriate Takeda treatment options.
- Collaborate with the LSD cross-functional team and internal business partners to coordinate efforts and improve outcomes.
- Analyze and apply market data to assess business opportunities and priorities.
- Attend conferences/exhibits; plan and execute disease-state and product programs using approved vendor.
- Partner with and motivate extended team members to improve performance, fostering engagement and accountability.
- Integrate and prioritize US LSD approved sales leads and tactics to optimize stakeholder engagement and account outcomes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or related industries.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external teams.
- Strong marketplace acumen.
- Rare disease experience preferred; complex sales model experience required.
- Demonstrated consistent track record of success; strategic territory management successes.
- Work within a complex sales model.
- Biotech/biologics/specialty pharmacy experience helpful.
- Buy & bill selling/account management preferred.
- Understand payer access and reimbursement at regional/state/local levels.
- Experience managing and communicating complex reimbursement issues.

- Experience in a highly regulated marketplace.
- Strong questioning/exploratory skills in customer calls.
- Technical competence (Excel/CRM/data analysis).
- Consultative selling and excellent organizational skills.
- Proven analytical capabilities.
- Ability to deliver large/small group presentations.
- Teamwork and collaboration; adaptability in a changing marketplace.

Travel Requirements:
- Must live in territory.
- Work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Extensive travel (50%)—authorization required to drive company leased vehicle or rental.

Training Requirements:
- Employment contingent on passing mandatory product training with written and oral exams.
- During training: classified as non-exempt; eligible for overtime during training only; not eligible for sales incentives/production-based bonuses.
- Training includes live instruction, independent study, role play, and related activities (up to 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week).
- After passing exams: transitioned to exempt status; paid bi-weekly; eligible for sales incentive programs/contests.
