Objectives:
- Implement the marketing plan; articulate the brand value proposition; use only on-label and approved materials to meet sales/patient objectives.
- Provide truthful, non-misleading disease/product/formulary information in line with compliance policies and applicable laws.
- Manage territory to maximize sales performance; work with physicians, specialty practices, hospital/clinic specialists, and other appropriate HCPs.
- Analyze local/regional business and managed markets trends to build short- and long-term goals.
- Work compliantly in a matrix environment and handle confidential patient information per company practices.
- Build internal partnerships for compliant selling approaches.
- Seek guidance from management/Compliance & Legal when uncertain about potential legal/compliance issues.
Accountabilities:
- Meet regularly with targeted HCPs/staff to understand needs and discuss whether Takeda products meet them.
- Use consultative, highly technical solution-oriented selling for Short Bowel and/or Ulcerative Colitis.
- Focus on greatest positive patient impact.
- Manage territory marketing/promotional speaker budget per compliance.
- Share best practices; participate in regional/national meetings.
- Use CRM to document account profiles and pre/post-call activities.
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; or 2+ years selling at Takeda (5 years preferred).
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies; apply clinical/business expertise and selling skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reside within or near assigned geography.
- Adaptability; commitment to learning/self-improvement.
Preferred:
- Local execution of marketing strategies; strategic planning; managed care understanding.
- Team collaboration; specialty injectable/infusion pharmacy experience.
- Experience coordinating with patient services; gastroenterology; orphan/highly specialized sales.
- Ability to analyze complex technical data; 5+ years direct selling.
Training requirements:
- Contingent on passing mandatory product training with written/oral exams.
Licenses/Travel:
- Valid driverβs license; clean US driving record.
