Rare Disease Business Manager, Alpha-1 (Denver, CO territory from the field)

How you will contribute:
- Achieve sales quotas by driving new patient starts, sales in outpatient infusion centers and hospitals, and retention of patients on Takeda augmentation treatment.
- Focus on educating/informing healthcare professionals (Pulmonology, Allergy/Immunology, Respiratory Therapists, select Internal Medicine/Primary Care) on Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
- Build a compliant National Sales & Marketing Strategy and create a territory tactical business plan.
- Manage the business within a defined geographical territory (Colorado, New Mexico).
- Call on prospective customers; master presentations; provide product information/demonstrations; maintain promotional/expense policy compliance.
- Partner with home office, Marketing/Brand, and National/Corporate account teams for product pull-through.
- Use Microsoft applications and Takeda customer management system.
- Conduct community education events (HCPs/patients); occasional nights/weekends; promote Takeda culture via relationships/activities.

Minimum requirements/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum); clinical sales background.
- 5–7+ years of relevant healthcare experience.
- Live within territory; manage territory border-to-border.
- Ability to excel in team and individual settings; understand customer motivations.
- Strong organizational/territory planning; data acquisition/interpretation to create sales strategies.
- Experience working with payor and reimbursement challenges.
- Ability to influence HCPs to prescribe.

Preferred/Desirable:
- Specialty biologics (injections/infusions); specialty pharmacy experience.
- Knowledge/experience in plasma-derived therapies, rare diseases, or biotech.

Travel: ~50–70% overnight; local travel otherwise. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company leased vehicle/rental.

Training: Mandatory product training with written/oral exams; contingent employment.

Compensation/benefits (if eligible/available):
- U.S. hourly wage range: $66.11–$90.91.
- May be eligible for short-term incentives; medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time and up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
