Rare Disease Business Manager (Alpha-1) β Denver, CO territory (field-based). Report to Sr. Regional Business Director.
How you will contribute:
- Achieve sales quotas via new patient starts, sales in outpatient infusion centers and hospitals, and retention of patients on Takeda augmentation treatment.
- Educate healthcare professionals (Pulmonology, Allergy/Immunology, Respiratory Therapists, select Internal Medicine/Primary Care) on Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and Takeda brands.
- Build and execute a compliant National Sales/Marketing Strategy and a territory tactical business plan.
- Manage business within a geographic territory; call on customers, deliver sales presentations/demonstrations, and provide technical/administrative product information while maintaining promotional/expense policy compliance.
- Partner with home office, Marketing/Brand, and National/Corporate account teams for product pull-through.
- Use Microsoft applications and Takedaβs customer management system.
- Conduct community education events for HCPs and patients; occasional nights/weekends.
Minimum requirements/qualifications:
- Clinical sales background; Bachelorβs degree (minimum).
- 5β7+ years relevant healthcare experience.
- Live within territory; manage border-to-border (CO/ NM).
- Strong organizational/territory planning; understand customer needs.
- Experience with payor/reimbursement challenges.
- Ability to perform as team and individual contributor; interpret data to create sales strategies.
- Ability to influence HCPs to prescribe.
- Specialty biologics (injections/infusions) experience; specialty pharmacies preferred.
- Knowledge/experience in plasma derived therapies, rare diseases, or biotech desirable.
Travel: overnight expected 50β70%.
Training: contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
