Rare Disease Account Manager - HAE (Remote; Missouri/Iowa/S. Illinois)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic territory plan focused on physician engagement, market development, and brand recognition; continuously evaluate and capitalize on sales opportunities.
- Drive demand through clinical selling and educational initiatives for HAE healthcare providers (HCPs) for EKTERLY.
- Strengthen HCP relationships via effective pre-call planning, personalized engagement strategies, and reflective post-call analysis.
- Establish and sustain communication with key thought leaders and internal partners to build professional networks.
- Organize and conduct field activities (educational lunch presentations, customer in-services, peer-to-peer programs, and local/regional conference displays/Lunch & Learns) while maintaining industry compliance.
- Consistently meet or exceed regional sales objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Leadership, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Patient Access, Patient Support Services) to support improved access for HAE patients.
- Uphold integrity and strictly adhere to compliance guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years in biotechnology/pharmaceutical sales in rare disease, including product launch experience and a successful track record.
- Ability to travel regularly within the region and as needed outside the territory (overnights and sometimes weekends); live near a major hub airport.
- Valid driverโs license and clean driving record; able to travel by automobile, train, plane, or public transportation.

- Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences/Biology (or similar) or business-related field.
Expectations & Competencies
- Lead and execute territory-level business planning in the Rare Disease market.
- Strong background in Rare Disease, Allergy, and Immunology (considered).
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory pharmaceutical industry requirements.
- Experience with patient access and in-house patient support services.
