Key Responsibilities:
- Lead demand generation within the Growth & Genetics portfolio; build expert product and disease-state knowledge for face-to-face HCP dialogue.
- Promote approved indications and product efficacy/safety to support on-label prescribing.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan to meet/exceed sales goals.
- Build strategic relationships with centers of excellence/academic institutions (physicians, admin staff, nurses, care coordinators, pharmacists) to drive adoption.
- Lead cross-functional planning to optimize access/adoption and identify referral networks.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Patient Services, Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access).
- Share field insights on treatment trends, patient needs, and competitor activity.
- Stay current on rare disease market trends, orphan drug policy, patient advocacy, and competition.
- Experience launching/supporting ultra-rare disease products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in strategic account management, market access, or health system-based sales (rare disease/biotech/specialty pharma).
- Proven ability to influence high-level stakeholders and drive measurable product access/revenue growth.
- Demonstrated compliant, ethical use of product knowledge in customized in-person discussions.
- Track record of consistent top performance.
- Strong rare disease market knowledge (distribution, patient support, care coordination, reimbursement).
- Strong communication, negotiation, executive presentation, and clinical/business acumen.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and account planning frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with IDNs, PBMs, and specialty pharmacy operations.
- Proven success balancing a product portfolio.
Compensation:
- Annual base salary range: $195,000–$215,000.
Field/Travel:
- Southeast region coverage (DC, MD, VA, NC, SC, FL, GA, AL, LA); travel 70%.
