Role Summary
R&D Data Sciences & AI Graduate Program is a two-year opportunity for graduates eager to build a career at the intersection of data science, AI, and drug discovery. Through three eight-month placements, you'll gain hands-on experience applying data science and AI techniques across various R&D functions and therapy areas. You’ll develop technical skills in data analysis, machine learning, and AI, while expanding your scientific knowledge and receiving mentorship from industry experts.
Responsibilities
- Apply data science, AI, and machine learning techniques to advance drug discovery and development.
- Collaborate with scientists across R&D functions and therapy areas.
- Engage in placements focusing on machine learning, AI, and data science in drug discovery and development.
- Participate in targeted identification, drug design and development, and clinical trials/digital health initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative science (e.g., Maths, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science) awarded in 2025 or due by September 2026.
- Experience: Hands-on experience in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computational Biology, Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or Cheminformatics.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of key machine learning or statistical models. Proficiency in Python or multiple data-centric programming languages for Big Data analysis.
- Attributes: Innovative thinking, enthusiasm, energy, drive, strong critical thinking, planning, organizational and time management skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
