General Summary:
The Project Management Senior Manager is responsible for the integration, creation, and execution of multiple department projects. Partners with departmental management and cross-functional project team members to develop and maintain integrated project plans that ensure deliverables are executed in line with objectives and within budget. Provides comprehensive communication including status reporting, risk management, and escalation of issues.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads multiple departmental projects
- Develops project plans, goals, and logistics to gain cooperation and alignment
- Works with department leadership to align departmental goals and strategy
- Interacts regularly with functional areas beyond own department
- Conducts complex scenario planning with analysis and recommendations (assumptions and risks)
- Summarizes program progress, timeline updates, and risk/opportunity assessments for management
- Proactively provides key project issues and status to senior management
- Develops and maintains project budgets; communicates forecast variance, risks, and opportunities
- Compiles reports and prepares minutes; tracks action items
- Maintains frequent communication with internal and external stakeholders on status, issues, contingencies, and milestones
- Contributes to project management best practices to support departmental success and evolution
Knowledge and Skills:
- Mentors professionals while maintaining procedural/ethical standards and team morale
- Superior verbal and written communicator across departments; gains alignment and persuades action
- Manages multiple projects effectively and ensures alignment to goals
- Solves complex problems to attain crucial project goals
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (typically required)
- 6 years of experience (typically required) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay Range:
- $139,200 - $208,800
