Role Summary

The Program Manager – IT Mergers & Acquisitions will lead the design, deployment, and delivery of complex M&A and BD&L integration and divestiture programs across the US and international markets. This role oversees IT cross-functional teams and project managers (internal and external), ensuring strategic alignment with business goals, regulatory standards, and IT solution frameworks. The position demands strong leadership, operational excellence, and deep experience in IT, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global M&A IT programs, ensuring successful delivery of integration and divestiture projects aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive measurable outcomes through strategic alignment.
  • Develop and maintain the M&A roadmap, ensuring lifecycle alignment with governance and project management frameworks.
  • Direct cross-functional teams to deliver programs on time, within budget, and at the required quality level.
  • Manage program plans including goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure smooth transitions to operations and optimal planning for releases.
  • Maintain control of progress, quality, and budget across all program activities.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations to minimize impact on delivery.
  • Ensure full compliance with GxP, GLP, GCP, and information security and quality standards.
  • Maintain consistency in deployment standards and adherence to methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Facilitate collaborative decision-making across line functions and strategic suppliers.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments and foster strong relationships.
  • Report program status, issues, and risks to governance bodies with clear ownership and action plans.

Qualifications

  • Proven success leading M&A or large-scale IT projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or research settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex programs in dynamic, global environments.
  • Expertise in agile and adaptive project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project execution tools (e.g., Jira, MS Planner, Planview, MS Project).
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to manage change, resolve conflicts, and anticipate risks.
  • Experience in financial modeling, business relationship management, and performance management.
  • University degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
