The Production Technician II executes manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging with minimum supervision. Ability to set up equipment independently for assigned production areas. Identify and resolve performance related equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to GMP guidelines and procedures to meet or exceed target OEE. Identifies and leads opportunities for improvement throughout the operations and assists in the implementation of changes both in physical operations and written documents. Is a SME and trainer for areas of expertise. Provides a high level of technical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Proven success in all tasks and skills as defined in the Production Technician I role (P7018H) or equivalent experience.
- Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and guidelines, and facilitate a proactive safety culture.
- Set up and operate equipment across multiple unit operations or three formulation processes.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment and faults; communicate and collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Tech Ops, Materials Management, and Quality to maximize value stream efficiency and compliance.
- Detect and anticipate equipment malfunctions and handle accordingly to prevent downtime.
- Participate in departmental initiatives (procedure updates, POMs, CPRs) and drive improvements.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert and trainer/coach on advanced production processes; assist with audits and operator interviews as needed.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert to assess processes or request management intervention if personal safety or product quality may be jeopardized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–4 years cGMP manufacturing experience operating automatic, manual, or semi-automated equipment in production processes (strongly preferred).
- SME and trainer for areas of expertise.
- Technical experience and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs and applications.
- Strong focus on quality and compliance with site policies and procedures.
- Requires standing up to 8–12 hours/day and lifting up to 25 pounds.
