Position Description:
Product Safety Manager provides indirect leadership for and performs key functions within the Elanco Animal Health Global Pharmacovigilance Unit. Implements and supports internal/external partners in analysis, interpretation, and reporting of adverse event (AE) data; collaborates with PV colleagues to maintain a global signal management program.

Responsibilities (Functions/Duties):
- Act as subject matter expert for PV tools to enhance Elanco signal management.
- Review and analyze individual case reports, aggregate safety data, signal detection, and risk management activities.
- Evaluate/interpret aggregate safety data for aggregate reports, signal management, Risk Management Plans, and safety benefit-risk evaluations.
- Participate in internal/external pharmacovigilance audits and inspections.
- Prioritize work to meet objectives on time.
- Stay current on signal management; interrogate external databases (e.g., open FDA, EVVET).
- Coach/mentor team members and external customers; lead technical review of scientific data.
- Recommend risk mitigation/management to safety committees.
- Prepare, interpret, and present drug safety aggregate data reports to customers and regulators.
- Lead or contribute to PV projects driving labeling/promotional updates.
- Train less experienced internal and cross-functional team members.
- Support pharmacovigilance signal management methodology and regulatory/environmental updates.
- Support affiliate sites for PV compliance; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- DVM, or PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years in clinical veterinary practice/animal health experience.
- Ability to evaluate large databases and extract datasets.
- Experience interpreting regulations/guidelines/policies (preferred).

Preferred:
- Minimum 5 years PV experience in an animal health environment.

- Travel up to 10%.
