Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous support for automation platforms, including troubleshooting process interruptions, field device diagnostics, communications intermittencies, and platform security events.
- Support and contribute technical expertise to enhance automation system performance and operability.
- Work safely; improve personnel and equipment safety; ensure safe design/operation of new equipment; ensure automation design reflects safety needs for operations and maintenance.
- Partner with colleagues to support and enhance automated systems and equipment.
- Perform solution assessments and performance reviews to verify proper and efficient operation of automated systems.
- Partner to support the discipline through solution assessment, replication, and development.
- Manage tools and implement engineering standards, master specifications, and best practices.
- Provide technical coaching/consultation to other engineers and facilitate shared learning forums.
- Support projects and integration of new equipment/technologies into the manufacturing workflow.
- Stay current on external trends/practices to evaluate technology for application.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Computer Technology, or related field.
- 2+ yearsโ experience in industrial equipment control, API manufacturing process control, utilities automation, or environmental control systems.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Experience troubleshooting instrumentation and control integrations.
- Strong problem-solving in measurements, process/manufacturing control, control systems, integration, and data.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely.
- Experience with two or more automation platforms (preferably Delta-V and Rockwell Automation).
- Knowledge of sensing field instrumentation (e.g., Temp, Hum, Diss Oxy, pH, RH, Pressure, Flow), acting instrumentation (e.g., valves, relays), and transducing instrumentation (e.g., I/P, P/I, V/P, P/V).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of GMPs and pharmaceutical manufacturing; knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
