Principal Medical Science Liaison (PMSL) – Texas/New Mexico territory

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic territory planning: cultivate community/academic/opinion leader relationships; execute two-way scientific exchange; mentor peers; translate and share insights to guide TA strategy.
- Develop/maintain/execute field strategic plan; identify resource gaps; propose innovative ideas to enhance field impact.
- Lead pre- and post-launch activities; analyze competitor data, clinical evidence, and scientific positioning to differentiate portfolio and influence TA strategy.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs/investigators/health systems/academic centers using clinical data and real-world evidence in a practical, audience-appropriate, non-promotional manner.
- Research & evidence generation: identify/develop/execute research support for company- and investigator-initiated initiatives; liaise with R&D/Medical Affairs/operations; support investigator-initiated studies without assuming sponsor responsibilities.
- Scientific acumen & thought leadership: lead journal clubs; provide leadership at scientific conferences/advisory boards; document/synthesize medical insights; support expert advisory activities.
- Operations & collaboration: partner with Field Director to translate national strategy into KOL/territory plans; drive cross-functional collaboration; complete responsibilities compliantly; leverage AI tools.

Qualifications
- Doctorate-level degree or equivalent (PharmD/PhD/MD/APR); post-graduate experience required; therapeutic clinical experience preferred; residency/fellowship preferred.
- 6+ years MSL experience.
- Up to 70% travel (overnights/weekend meetings as needed).
- Data gathering/analysis, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, competitive landscape analysis.
- Must reside in defined territory; valid U.S. driver’s license.

Preferred
- Therapeutic area knowledge/experience; familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CoPilot and remote tech; related clinical/research/pharma experience.

Benefits/compensation (as stated)
- Anticipated base salary: $164,000–$328,000 (range also listed as $164,000–$282,900).
- Eligible for company car via FLEET program.
- Eligible for annual performance bonus.
