Principal Medical Science Liaison (PMSL) β€” Texas/New Mexico territory

Essential Functions:
- Lead strategic territory planning: cultivate community/academic/opinion leader relationships; execute high-quality two-way scientific exchange; mentor peers; consolidate and share insights to guide therapeutic area strategy.
- Develop, maintain, and execute field strategic plans; identify resource gaps; introduce innovative programs to support leadership priorities.
- Lead pre- and post-launch activities; analyze competitor data, clinical evidence, and scientific positioning to differentiate portfolio and influence TA strategy.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs/investigators/centers by integrating clinical data and real-world evidence into appropriate, non-promotional communications.

Research & Evidence Generation Leadership:
- Identify, develop, and execute high-level research support for company- and investigator-initiated initiatives; liaise with R&D/Medical Affairs/operations; support investigator-initiated studies in accordance with policies.

Scientific Acumen & Thought Leadership:
- Lead journal club dialogue; represent company at scientific meetings; document/synthesize/share medical insights; engage in self-driven learning.

Operations & Collaboration:
- Partner with Field Director to translate national strategy into KOL/territory plans; drive compliant cross-functional collaboration; perform administrative duties in a timely, accurate, compliant manner; leverage AI tools.

Qualifications:
- Doctorate (PharmD/PhD/MD/APP, etc.) required; post-graduate experience required; residency/fellowship preferred.
- 6+ years MSL experience.
- Travel up to 70% (including some weekends).
- Data analysis/gathering proficiency; clinical expertise; problem solving; interpersonal influence; cross-functional strategic thinking; competitive landscape analysis.
- Must reside in defined territory; valid U.S. driver’s license.

Preferred:
- Therapeutic area knowledge/experience; clinical/research/pharma experience.
- Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Copilot; computer and remote technology use.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated base salary: $164,000–$328,000; also stated base pay range: $164,000–$282,900.
- Eligible for company car via FLEET program; annual performance bonus; health insurance/savings/pension/disability/vacation/sick/holiday and time off per plans.
