Principal Medical Science Liaison (PMSL) β Texas/New Mexico territory
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Lead strategic, comprehensive territory planning; cultivate community/academic/opinion leader relationships; execute two-way scientific exchange; mentor peers; translate and share insights to guide therapeutic area strategy.
- Develop, maintain, and execute field strategic plan; identify resource gaps and introduce innovative ideas/programs supporting leadership priorities.
- Lead pre- and post-launch activities; analyze competitor data, clinical evidence, and scientific positioning to differentiate the Oncology portfolio.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs/investigators/health systems/academic centers with fair, balanced, objective, non-promotional scientific information using clinical data and real-world evidence.
Research & Evidence Generation Leadership
- Identify, develop, and execute high-level support for company- and investigator-initiated initiatives; facilitate scientific exchange and connect investigators to internal research/grant processes (without assuming sponsor responsibilities).
Scientific Acumen & Thought Leadership
- Lead journal clubs; provide scientific leadership at conferences/advisory boards/investigator meetings; share medical insights and support expert advisory activities.
Operations & Collaboration
- Partner with Field Director to translate national medical strategy into KOL and territory plans; drive compliant cross-functional collaboration; perform compliant administrative/SOP responsibilities; leverage AI tools to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree or equivalent (PharmD/PhD/MD/APR); post-graduate experience required; residency/fellowship preferred.
- 6+ years relevant MSL experience.
- Travel up to 70% (overnight; some weekend commitments).
- Data analysis/proficiency, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, competitive landscape analysis.
- Must reside in defined territory and have a valid U.S. driverβs license.
Preferred
- Therapeutic area knowledge/experience; related clinical/research/pharma experience.
- Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/CoPilot; computer and remote technology proficiency.

Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base salary: $164,000β$328,000 (also listed range: $164,000β$282,900).
- Eligible for company car via FLEET program; annual performance bonus.
