Principal Medical Science Liaison (PMSL) β€” Texas/New Mexico territory.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Lead strategic, comprehensive territory planning: build community/academic/opinion leader relationships; execute two-way scientific exchange; mentor peers; translate and share insights to guide TA strategy.
- Develop and execute a field strategic plan; identify resource gaps; introduce innovative programs to support leadership priorities.
- Lead pre- and post-launch activities; analyze competitor data, clinical evidence, and scientific positioning.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs, investigators, healthcare systems, and academic centers using clinical data and real-world evidence in practical, audience-appropriate, non-promotional communication.
- Support research & evidence generation: identify/develop/execute company- and investigator-initiated research; liaise with R&D/Medical Affairs/operations; support investigator-initiated studies without assuming sponsor responsibilities.
- Demonstrate scientific acumen and thought leadership: lead journal club discussions; provide leadership at scientific meetings/conferences; share medical insights; support development of scientific materials/frameworks.
- Partner with Field Director to translate national medical strategy into KOL and territory plans; maintain compliant cross-functional collaboration; perform compliant administrative responsibilities; leverage AI tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications
- Doctorate degree (PharmD/PhD/MD/etc.) or equivalent; post-graduate experience required (therapeutic clinical experience preferred); residency/fellowship preferred.
- 6+ years relevant MSL experience.
- Travel up to 70% (overnights; some weekends).
- Proficiency in data gathering/analysis, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional strategic thinking, competitive landscape analysis.
- Must reside in defined territory; valid U.S. driver’s license.

Preferred
- Therapeutic area knowledge/experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, CoPilot, and remote technologies.
- Related clinical, research, or pharma work experience.

Compensation / Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base salary: $164,000–$328,000 (also listed as $164,000–$282,900).
- Company car via FLEET program.
- Eligible for annual performance bonus; eligibility for health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation/sick/holiday pay and work/personal/family time off per applicable plans.
