Operations
Responsibilities:
- Assure printed packaging materials (PPMs) used by contract manufacturers (CMs) meet technical requirements of packaging lines and Lilly standards.
- Manage layouts (templates with graphic and technical elements) to ensure proper artwork development and function on the packaging line.
- Maintain BLUE metadata for layouts and its connection to other components of the PPM specification (artworks and specifications) in the system.
- Own the Qualified Format List (QFL) used for artwork development with regional groups.
- Work with Global Packaging during CM initiation to ensure DRY-EM and/or Global layouts are identified or developed for timely artwork development.
- Participate in testing activities and qualifications at the CMs.
- Own Site Technical Changes (STCs) requested by CMs; coordinate PPM changes with CM, Global Packaging, regulatory groups, PPD teams, and DRY-EM.
- Work closely with the Packaging Coordinator and Specification Coordinator to ensure correct PPM development.
- Back up materials specifications management with the Specification Coordinator.
- Serve on the Specifications Change Review Board (sCRB), proposing changes to global layouts if needed.
- Maintain a holistic view of all PPM projects ongoing for DRY-EM.
- Lead/support packaging investigations within the DRY-EM network.
- Lead/support packaging projects, including digital transformation for continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field with experience in PPM management or similar technical background.
- 2+ years of experience in printed packaging materials or pharmaceutical packaging.
- Authorization to work in the United States full-time; Lilly will not sponsor visas/work authorization.

Additional Preferences:
- Fluent English.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
- Technical approach.
- Experience in packaging engineering (preferred) or TSMS within a packaging plant (ideally dry products).

Work Location/Remote:
- Onsite in Indianapolis, IN; not approved for fully remote work (work from home up to 4 days/month).

Compensation & Benefits (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $65,250 - $145,200.
