General Summary:
The Policy & Alliance Development Associate Director will support the strategy and execution of US Public Affairs (USPA) activities, with initial focus in pain and kidney areas. Works within Public Affairs and cross-functionally with commercial, medical, R&D, and legal to align with corporate goals and objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary liaison to the USPA State Government Affairs (SGA) team on state policy work.
- Identify SGA opportunities to advance pain program objectives; generate materials and assets to execute engagements.
- Monitor state legislation; identify policy/political opportunities and risks to the business.
- Lead key USPA pain projects; responsible for departmental program/process operations to advance policy initiatives.
- Develop project plans, goals, processes, and logistics to gain cooperation and alignment.
- Summarize and create internal communications on program progress, timeline updates, and potential risks.
- Monitor project budgets; understand and communicate forecast variance, risks, and opportunities.
- Compile succinct internal reports; prepare meeting minutes and track action items.
- Anticipated travel: 10–20%.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum 7–8 years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience; prior experience in patient advocacy, public health policy, government relations, or related fields (preferably pain environment).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good judgment in novel/unusual situations.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build effective business relationships.
- Project management skills; proficient at managing, tracking, and measuring.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects with deadlines, budgets, and status updates.
- Developed communication skills; ability to synthesize information into meaningful insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong project/operations management skills.
- Comfortable working in areas of uncertainty.

Pay Range:
- $178,000 - $267,000.

Disclosure (role compensation eligibility):
- Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards; some roles may be eligible for overtime pay.

Flex Designation:
- Hybrid-Eligible or On-Site Eligible (Hybrid: remote up to two days/week; On-Site: five days/week on-site with ad hoc flexibility).
