Job Summary
- The Research Technician serves as an integral member of the site and study team during study processes, including pre-admit, admission, orientation, conduct, discharge and study close.
Shift
- Schedule varies based on volume; supports three 8-hour shifts with occasional overtime. Training is Monday–Friday; weekend availability may be required. Scheduling may range from Monday–Friday to 7 days per week depending on operational needs.
Essential Functions & Duties
- Perform conduct procedures in strict compliance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice standards, SOPs, QA/QC procedures, OSHA guidelines, and other applicable state and local regulations.
- Provide assistance in the execution of clinical trials.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of study participants.
- Provide administrative and operational support.
Education/Experience (Required)
- High school diploma or GED and advanced medical procedure training or Phlebotomist certification.
- 1–2 years of experience in a clinical environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Able to obtain vital signs and perform ECGs.
- Able to perform telemetry and insertion of intravenous catheters, or willingness to learn.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to work independently, function within a team environment, and handle multiple priorities.
- Able to work with tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational/time-management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
