Area Business Specialist (ABS)

Role Responsibilities
- Achieve territory product sales and activity goals by executing company performance expectations, metrics, and customer engagement objectives.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan using internal data/analytics, customer insights, and cross-functional resources.
- Interpret market research and sales analytics to drive territory objectives.
- Build HCP rapport/credibility to create urgency for identification, diagnosis, and treatment of underserved rare disease patients and support compliant, timely therapy initiation and adherence.
- Use account-based selling by engaging relevant practice stakeholders (physicians, nurses, medical assistants, office staff, referral coordinators, prior authorization personnel) to identify patients, address barriers, and drive pull-through.
- Leverage company resources (field analytics, marketing campaigns, speaker programs, peer-to-peer education, disease-state materials, patient-finding resources, cross-functional support) to improve engagement and pull-through.
- Collaborate with PAMs, Regional Business Directors, Marketing, Training, Market Access, and Commercial Operations; share best practices and provide market intelligence.
- Represent the organization professionally and ethically; maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and healthcare laws; pursue continuous development.

Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (BA/BS) required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years successful life sciences sales experience required.
- 2+ years rare disease product promotion preferred; specialty pharmaceutical specialty sales track record considered.
- Preferred: experience in rare/ultra-rare disease, specialty pharmaceuticals, or neurology.
- Proven sustained high sales performance; strong sales process knowledge.
- Required: strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Valid U.S. state-issued driverโ€™s license required.

Working Conditions
- Field-based; conduct business in assigned geography daily.
- Periodic evening/weekend work; periodic overnight travel; extensive overnight travel for larger geographies; travel by air and vehicle.

Compensation
- Anticipated base salary range: $110,000 to $190,000. Field sales may be eligible for quarterly commission; benefits include paid time off and health/401(k), where eligible.
