Territory Business Manager (TBM) – Diabetes
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute quarterly/annual plans to exceed growth targets in assigned territory (Tyler, TX or Longview, TX).
- Use a consultative, specialty sales approach focused on behavior change (not transactional selling).
- Educate healthcare providers on guideline recommendations using clinical evidence; emphasize preventive, risk-mitigating strategies.
- Create and sustain behavior change by enhancing workflows to identify at-risk patients, support continuity of care, and ensure prescribed therapies.
- Uncover and resolve objections that limit at-risk patients’ access to therapy.
- Build relationships with stakeholders beyond prescribers (e.g., nurses, pharmacists, diabetes educators, office staff, healthcare systems) to drive patient-centered outcomes.
- Partner with office staff to improve patient access and prescription conversion.
- Identify and address reimbursement, access, and treatment barriers.
- Coordinate multiple customer touchpoints and contribute market intelligence to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Market Access, and Commercial Operations; share best practices with peers.
- Represent the organization professionally/ethically and maintain compliance with policies, regulations, and healthcare laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in pharma/biotech/medical device/healthcare/clinical or B2B sales where results come from workflow implementation.
- Demonstrated history of exceeding sales objectives through behavior change across multiple stakeholders.
Skills/Requirements
- Strong consultative selling and account management.
- Ability to influence behavior and create urgency.
- Business planning, territory management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and multi-layered accounts.
- Ability to identify barriers and develop creative solutions.
Working Conditions
- Periodic evening/weekend work as needed.
- Vehicle + airline travel; valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license.
- Work in assigned territory five (5) days/week to call on customers, attend meetings, and participate in business activities.
