Territory Manager (National City, CA)
Responsibilities:
- Account-based selling to healthcare providers (HCPs) who prescribe and influence treatment for disease states in the Lilly portfolio.
- Promote the full portfolio of priority products with multiple HCP specialties.
- Build relationships with key customers to drive utilization and adoption for the right patients.
- Drive results using Lilly’s Selling Model, Competency Model, and Account Management Model.
- Understand the marketplace and tailor territory strategy to grow and own business outcomes.
- Navigate the healthcare environment and payer landscape; influence key stakeholders and serve as trusted partners.
- Use business insight tools, data, and analytics to identify trends, priorities, opportunities, and potential obstacles.
- Implement and adopt new technologies, including integration of AI company-approved tools, to streamline customer interactions.
- Identify and advocate for opportunities to enhance the customer experience.
- Engage in patient-centered dialogues with customers to promote the BU portfolio.
- Promote across BU portfolio and HCP specialties; use the Virtual Medical Hub.
- Achieve targeted sales and execution metrics while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Own customer relationships for product promotion, on-label medical questions, and general market access.
- Hold self-accountability for results across accounts (individual HCPs to large health systems).
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional certification or license required if needed by the specific state.
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas/work authorization.
Additional Skills / Preferences:
- Demonstrated business ownership, selling/customer experience, and execution/results.
- Account-based selling experience; ability to identify and engage staff members in accounts.
- Strong learning agility, self-motivation, team-focused, emotionally intelligent.
- Bilingual skills aligned with territory and customer needs.
- Residence within 30 miles of the territory boundary.
