The Rare Blood Therapy Manager (RBTM) represents Novo Nordisk, Inc. (NNI) to targeted accounts and thought leaders in an assigned territory to maximize sales and establish NNI as a leader in the hemophilia marketplace. Assumes responsibility for achieving sales objectives by implementing approved marketing and local sales strategies to sell and promote NNI’s hemophilia products to key physicians, nurses, home care companies, social workers, pharmacies, hemophilia/hematology organizations, and other appropriate paramedical customers involved in purchasing and prescribing decisions. Develops strategically targeted, account-specific business plans based on local, regional, and national market forces.

Relationships
- Externally maintains relationships primarily with physicians, nurses, home care companies, pharmacies, and other paramedical customers.
- Reports to the Regional Director – Rare Blood.

Essential Functions
- Drives sales and outcomes to exceed goals; influences behavior change with healthcare professionals (HCPs)
- Communicates effectively with internal/external stakeholders in-person and virtually
- Develops meaningful relationships with key external stakeholders; gains trusted advisor status
- Engages in two-way dialogue and active listening to uncover customer needs
- Challenges and influences approaches to patient management in rare blood disorders; shares new information and insights
- Coordinates with field and home office colleagues to leverage provider relationships across the territory
- Identifies customer insights and applies strategic mindset to stay ahead of healthcare market trends
- Uses business acumen and analytical skills to create, adapt, and execute territory business plans
- Leads initiatives based on HCP influence across the total geography
- Works with an entrepreneurial mindset and urgency; balances multiple priorities
- Develops and uses project management skills; organizes work effectively
- Models ethical and compliant behaviors (“Novo Nordisk Way”)

Physical Requirements
- 50–75% overnight travel required
- Valid driver’s license; must be in good standing (not exceeding assigned points threshold based on Motor Vehicle Records)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales (Rare Disease experience preferred) OR 5+ years relevant Rare Disease experience, including at least 2 years pharmaceutical sales (may include hemophilia care, treatment, or advocacy)
- Expert knowledge of the hemophilia market (preferred)
- Ability to facilitate trust and understanding
- Aptitude for learning and communicating technical/scientific product and disease management information
- Decision-making ability and leadership skills
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel)
- Self-starter; can evaluate options, make decisions, and run business activities with minimal supervision
- Prior experience with sales data/call reporting software (preferred)
