The Position
- Achieve sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to sell/promote Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic portfolio to HCPs and office staff.
- Understand local payer market (Medicare/Commercial/Medicaid, coverage, step therapy, coverage gap, copays, deductibles) and how it impacts customer decisions.
- Identify business opportunities within territory customer groups (IPAs, medical groups, health systems, local clinics) and tailor account plans.
- Analyze bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status; may assess managed care impact and adjust sales/promotion strategies.
- Build relationships with specialists and key hospital decision-makers influencing purchasing/prescribing/formulary decisions.
- Develop territory business plans using market/competitive/patient insights; gain access with prescribers, support staff, pharmacies, and clinic administrators.
- Use the Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model; use analytical tools to evaluate opportunities and meet territory sales goals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders; manage samples/property and territory/marketing budgets in compliance.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required.
- Preferred: 1+ year in pharmaceutical/healthcare, sales, consulting, customer service, or military.
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows/Word/Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting tools ideal.
- Self-starter; aptitude for leadership/decision-making; ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific info.
Physical Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; must be in good standing per points threshold (MVR).
