Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively sell and promote Novo Nordisk’s portfolio of products to HCPs and other office staff.
- Demonstrate consistent territory-level impact and competencies.
- Understand local payer market (Medicare/Commercial/Medicaid benefit designs, payer coverage, prescription requirements, step therapy, coverage gap, copays, deductibles) and how it affects customer decisions.
- Use knowledge of territory customer groups/affiliations (IPAs, medical groups, health systems, local clinics) to identify opportunities and tailor approaches.
- Analyze bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status.
- Analyze managed care impact on prescribing and modify sales/promotion strategies.
- Develop and use relationships with specialists and key hospital decision-makers who influence purchasing/prescribing/formulary decisions.
- Research and tailor account plans based on stakeholders and account practices.
- Develop and execute territory business plans using market conditions, competitive trends, priorities, and patient needs.
- Build and maintain business-relevant relationships (prescribers, support staff, pharmacies, clinic administrators) to drive business impact via clinical management collaboration and NNI-approved solutions.
- Use Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model proficiency (pre-call planning, customer engagement, objection resolution, and commitment with impact).
- Use analytical tools to evaluate opportunities and create plans to meet territory sales goals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Pod team, PDBM, RBD) and define roles/responsibilities.
- Manage samples/company property per policies and legal requirements; manage discretionary territory and marketing budgets.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of disease states, treatment options (including NNI and competitors), and promoted clinical studies; participate in meetings/training/conventions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required.
- Preferred: 1+ year experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare, sales, consulting, customer service, or military.
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); prior sales data/call reporting software experience ideal.
- Self-starter able to evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Aptitude for leadership and decision-making.
- Solid understanding of diabetes and obesity therapy areas; ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information.

Physical Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license; in good standing per assigned points threshold based on Motor Vehicle Records.
