The Specialty Field Sales Representative consistently achieves sales goals by executing local Sales and Marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to disease state specific HCPs and key customers.

Relationships
- Maintains relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other key health care personnel in academic and large community health systems.
- Assists target physicians with local clinical/educational initiatives by coordinating company resources to support improved patient health.
- Reports to the District Business Manager and coordinates with field colleagues (e.g., DBMs, DCSs, Market Access, Diabetes Educators, Medical Liaisons) to share insights and align on market dynamics.

Essential Functions
- Drives sales and outcomes to exceed goals; seeks wins.
- Shares customer insights/trends; leads partner initiatives.
- Challenges and influences HCP patient management respectfully by providing new, approved clinical/scientific insights.
- Applies business acumen/analytics; maintains account and tailored business plans.
- Executes the Novo Nordisk Way selling model (pre/post-call planning, customer engagement, solution delivery, resolve objections, calls to action).
- Supports product/program launches with physician alignment and appropriate patient targeting.
- Maintains required activity records/call data; manages samples per policy.
- Manages discretionary territory and marketing promotional budgets.

Physical Requirements
- Valid driverโ€™s license; in good standing per points threshold.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s or equivalent degree and/or PharmD required.
- Minimum 2 years pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making; self-starter.
- Clinical approach to selling; intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); prior sales data/call reporting software ideal.
- Health Systems and/or Institutional Account experience preferred; cardiology and/or nephrology knowledge preferred.
