Role Summary
- Develop ongoing professional relationships with payer and provider healthcare decision makers across key payer/provider organizations for oncology.
- Provide accurate oncology portfolio, clinical science, and quality management information in a balanced, credible, and compliant manner; resource for Medical Affairs management on strategic planning and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with decision makers in organized health systems to ensure access to medical/scientific information.
- Develop strategic account plans with Integrated Account Management (IAM) Account Executive teams and execute aligned medical activities.
- Monitor market dynamics in the territory to understand evolving information needs and support value-proposition development.
- Coordinate with Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) for medical/scientific support needs.
- Support strategic planning with PHSO MAD leadership and Country Medical Affairs.
- Attend and support scientific/medical meetings and prepare post-meeting deliverables.
Location
- Remote; serves NC, SC, and TN. Candidates should reside in the territory; travel up to 50%.
Required Qualifications
- MD, PhD, or PharmD.
- 3 years field-based Medical Affairs experience with payers/integrated delivery systems OR 5 years clinical oncology experience in a health system (or equivalent).
- Experience with organized healthcare system(s) and payer organizations; ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships.
- Knowledge of clinical medicine, healthcare delivery, pharmacoeconomics, disease/quality management, value-based payment, and healthcare policy trends.
- Strong communication, networking, integrity, collaboration, customer focus; ethical guideline understanding.
- Ability to organize/prioritize in a changing environment; project leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Field-based medical experience with payers/integrated delivery systems/scientific leaders.
- Formal training in health economics and/or outcomes research.
