Role Summary
- The Payer and Health Systems Oncology Precision Medicine Medical Affairs Director (PHSO PM MAD) develops relationships with healthcare decision makers across reference laboratories, managed markets (including lab benefit managers), integrated delivery networks, oncology pathway/group purchasing organizations, federal government payers, health systems, and state oncology/hematology societies.
- Provides balanced, credible medical/scientific information across the oncology portfolio, precision medicine, clinical science, and quality management; supports Medical Affairs strategic planning and mentors team members.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key decision makers to enable access to medical/scientific information.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans in partnership with PHSO MADs, oncology account management, and precision medicine teams.
- Track market dynamics to support evolving information needs and value-proposition development.
- Coordinate with the Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) for medical/scientific support needs in key accounts.
- Support US Medical Affairs strategic planning; attend meetings and prepare post-meeting deliverables.
Required Location / Travel
- Territory: MI, IL, IN, WI, MN, ND, SD, NE, IA, KS, MO, OK, AR, LA, TX, NM. Candidates must reside within territory; travel up to 50%.
Qualifications
- MD/PharmD/PhD.
- 3+ years field-based MA experience with reference labs/payers/IDS/scientific leaders OR 5+ years clinical health system experience (or equivalent).
- Experience with payer/organized health systems and peer-to-peer relationship building.
- Thorough oncology precision medicine/biomarkers/diagnostics knowledge and ethics.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, lead projects; national role near a large city hub airport.
Preferred
- Precision medicine field-based experience; research/co-authorship desirable; training in health economics/outcomes research.
