Role Summary:
- Develop ongoing professional relationships with healthcare decision makers across reference laboratories, managed markets organizations (including laboratory benefit managers), integrated delivery networks, oncology pathway organizations, oncology group purchasing organizations, federal government payers, health systems, and state oncology/hematology societies.
- Provide accurate medical/scientific information across the oncology product portfolio, precision medicine, clinical science, and quality management in line with regulatory and ethical standards; resource for MA management strategic planning and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with key decision makers to ensure access to medical/scientific information.
- Develop strategic account plans and execute medical activities aligned to the plan.
- Serve as primary resource on market dynamics to understand evolving information needs and support value-proposition development.
- Coordinate with the Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) on medical/scientific support needs in key health system accounts.
- Support PHSO MAD Team Lead, PHSO Executive Director Medical Affairs, and US Medical Affairs strategic planning.
- Attend/support scientific and medical meetings and prepare post-meeting deliverables.
Required Location/Travel:
- Cover MI, IL, IN, WI, MN, ND, SD, NE, IA, KS, MO, OK, AR, LA, TX, NM; candidates must reside within territory; travel up to 50%.
Required Qualifications:
- MD/PharmD/PhD.
- 3 years field-based MA experience with reference labs/payers/IDS/scientific leaders OR 5 years clinical experience in a health system (or equivalent).
- Experience with organized healthcare system(s)/payer organization(s) and peer-to-peer relationships.
- Thorough knowledge of oncology biomarkers/diagnostics and oncology precision medicine.
- Strong interpersonal communication, integrity, collaboration, customer focus.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry ethical guidelines; ability to prioritize in a changing environment; project leadership; located near a large city hub airport.
Preferred:
- Field-based precision medicine experience; academic/industry research with co-authorship desirable (immunology/cancer biology or related); health economics and/or outcomes research training.
