Role Summary
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare decision makers across reference laboratories, managed markets (including lab benefit managers), integrated delivery networks, oncology pathway and group purchasing organizations, federal government payers, health systems, and state oncology/hematology societies.
- Provide accurate medical information across the oncology portfolio, precision medicine, clinical science, and quality management in line with regulatory/ethical standards; support Medical Affairs strategy and mentor team members.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities
- Build relationships to ensure access to medical/scientific information for oncology products and therapeutic areas.
- Create strategic account plans and execute medical activities aligned to agreed plans.
- Use territory market dynamics insights to inform ongoing value-proposition development.
- Coordinate with the Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) for medical/scientific support needs in key health system accounts.
- Support strategic planning with PHSO MAD leadership and US Medical Affairs.
- Attend and support scientific/medical meetings and prepare post-meeting deliverables.
Required Location/Travel
- Territory: MI, IL, IN, WI, MN, ND, SD, NE, IA, KS, MO, OK, AR, LA, TX, NM; candidates must reside within the territory.
- Travel up to 50%; national role—located near a large city hub airport.
Required Qualifications
- MD/PharmD/PhD.
- 3+ years field-based Medical Affairs experience (reference labs/payers/IDS/scientific leaders) OR 5+ years health system clinical experience (or equivalent).
- Experience developing peer-to-peer relationships with payer/provider decision makers.
- Thorough oncology precision medicine and biomarker/diagnostic knowledge and ethical/pharma guideline understanding.
- Strong communication, integrity, networking, prioritization, and project leadership.
Preferred
- Field-based precision medicine experience; research/co-authorship; training in health economics/outcomes research.
