Position Summary:
Field-based access and reimbursement expert (PAM) providing end-to-end support to healthcare providers (HCPs) for on-label patient access to ACADIA therapies. Non-promotional role; frequent territory travel.
Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on programs/processes to facilitate patient access via in-person/virtual interactions.
- Prevent and resolve access and reimbursement issues (education, problem-solving, issue resolution) to optimize patient access and customer experience.
- Build/maintain access-related relationships with HCP offices and support staff.
- Conduct proactive in-services on coverage pathways, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy coordination, appeals, hub resources, and patient support.
- Provide pre-referral education and post-referral pull-through support; coordinate with customer support and specialty pharmacies.
- Support reauthorization, payer transitions, and patient reimbursement/affordability (prior auth, appeals, financial support options).
- Escalate local payer issues to PAM Leads/National Account Managers; support national initiatives.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree required (life sciences preferred); RN/MSN/MBA a plus.
- 4+ years in pharmaceutical sales, market access, national accounts, or specialty pharmacy with deep access/reimbursement expertise.
- Medicare expertise strongly preferred.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- Cross-functional collaboration; leading without authority.
- Patient-centric, empathetic, service-oriented; strong communication and presentation.
- HIPAA knowledge; strong organization/time management; Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Travel up to 60%.
