Role: Patient Access Liaison (PAL) supporting insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen’s specialty and infused therapies. Responsibilities include guiding patients, caregivers, and providers through insurance benefits, prior authorization, and reimbursement processes; educating healthcare providers and sites on coverage pathways; resolving access barriers; and collaborating with internal teams such as Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Case Management. The PAL manages individual patient cases independently, advocates for timely therapy access, and shares insights to inform broader access strategies. Qualifications: Level 5 requires a doctorate, master’s with 2+ years, bachelor’s with 4+ years, associate’s with 8+ years, or high school with 10+ years of patient access/reimbursement experience; Level 6 requires similar degrees with additional experience. Preferred skills include experience supporting buy-and-bill biologics, rare disease expertise, clinical background, reimbursement system knowledge, and proficiency with compliance, coding, and patient support programs. Biopharma specifics involve specialty and infused therapies, reimbursement pathways, and navigating payer systems. The role demands up to 50% travel, operating within a matrix field environment, and compliance with privacy and regulatory standards.
