Role: Patient Access Liaison (PAL) serving as a trusted advocate to assist patients in overcoming barriers to therapy initiation and adherence. Responsibilities: support patients through insurance navigation, benefit verification, prior authorizations, and appeals; coordinate specialty pharmacy processes and troubleshoot access issues; guide patients in financial assistance programs; collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to ensure smooth treatment logistics; document interactions ensuring compliance; and foster positive patient experiences. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in patient access, reimbursement, or healthcare navigation, preferably in pharma, biotech, or specialty pharmacy; strong knowledge of benefit verification, CPT/HCPCS coding, and payer reimbursement strategies; proficiency with CRM platforms like Salesforce; understanding of HIPAA and regulatory standards; bachelorβs degree in healthcare or related field; prior authorization certification preferred. High-Value: experience supporting rare disease or ophthalmology treatments; familiarity with buy-and-bill therapies; bilingual skills desirable; 50% travel; nationwide openings, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centric engagement.
