General Summary:
The Pain Territory Account Manager (PTAM) establishes and maintains relationships with key institutional decision makers and affiliated Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to promote the safe and effective use of JOURNAVX in acute pain. Reports to a Regional Field Leader and leads engagement with 15β20 institutions (hospitals & ambulatory surgery centers) and select physicians within hospital settings/networks, working alongside Territory Business Managers in the community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships across multiple layers of hospital systems (medical/admin staff, pharmacies, formulary decision makers and KTLs)
- Maintain product and clinical expertise and educate HCPs on appropriate patient use
- Navigate formulary processes to secure timely inclusion on formularies, pathways, and/or protocols
- Understand institutional dynamics: stakeholder mapping, decision-maker relationships, protocols, referral networks, access, and drivers/barriers
- Implement strategic account plans to drive growth and patient-focused solutions
- Drive sales performance; meet/exceed forecasts and assigned budgets
- Compliantly collaborate with other field team members and HQ to align business plans and initiatives
- Model ethics and integrity to support compliance culture
Required Experience/Skills:
- 5β7+ years biotech sales; hospital/institution launch experience highly desired
- 3+ years Account Management; leverage existing institutional relationships
- Ability to navigate hospital systems and engage formulary management to gain product access
- Experience implementing inpatient formularies/protocols/pathways/order sets
- Strong IT capabilities incl. Veeva CRM
- New product launch experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Complete required trainings/background screens/drug testing/vaccinations as needed
- Live and work within the territory (may require proximity to major airport)
- Valid driverβs license in good standing
- Travel up to 80% by car/airplane; work after hours as needed; 10β30% overnight travel
Pay Range:
$133,600 β $200,400
(Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.)
