General Summary:
The Pain Territory Account Manager (PTAM) establishes and maintains relationships with key institutional decision makers and affiliated HCPs to promote the safe and effective use of JOURNAVX in acute pain. Leads engagement with 15β20 institutions (hospitals & ambulatory surgery centers) and select physicians within hospital settings/networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships across multiple layers of hospital systems (medical/administrative staff, pharmacies, formulary decision makers, KTLs).
- Maintain product and patient-unmet-need expertise; educate HCPs on appropriate use.
- Navigate formulary processes to ensure timely inclusion on formularies/pathways/protocols.
- Understand account/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, decision-maker relationships, protocols, referral networks, access, and barriers.
- Implement strategic account plans to identify growth opportunities and patient-focused solutions.
- Drive sales performance; meet/exceed forecast and budget expectations.
- Collaborate with Territory Business Managers and internal teams to align business plans.
- Model ethics and integrity to support compliance.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 5β7+ years biotech sales; hospital/institution launch experience highly desired.
- 3+ years account management leveraging institutional relationships.
- Experience navigating hospital systems, formulary management, and inpatient protocol/pathway/order set implementation.
- Proficient with IT/CRMs (including Veeva CRM).
- New product launch experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Complete required trainings/background screens/drug testing/vaccinations as applicable.
- Live within territory (reasonable distance to major airport may be required).
- Valid driverβs license.
- Up to 80% travel; work after hours; 10β30% overnight travel (depending on territory).
Pay Range:
$133,600β$200,400. Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
