General/Position Summary
- Field-based Pain Regional Account Manager provides flexible, high-impact coverage across the Pain Business Unit to address territory vacancies, leaves of absence, and priority business needs.
- Deployed temporarily (typically ~10β12 weeks) to live/work in the assigned territory during the week; supports continuity across key customer relationships and may assume PTAM or TBM responsibilities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide immediate, flexible regional coverage; step in as a trained deployment-ready resource with limited ramp time.
- Own customer engagement, account execution, pull-through activities, and territory planning while deployed.
- Execute structured handoffs/transitions to maintain continuity of customer ownership and account plans.
- Support onboarding/ramp-up of newly hired reps via territory knowledge transfer and field coaching.
- Build/maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and institutional stakeholders; minimize disruption during vacancies/leaves.
- Rapidly assess new territories/accounts; execute account/territory plans aligned to commercial objectives.
- Use Veeva/approved systems to document activity and territory updates.
- Collaborate with Area Field Leader/Regional Field Leaders and cross-functional partners to support execution.
Required Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelorβs degree (or equivalent education + relevant experience).
- 7+ years pharmaceutical/biotech field sales; 3+ years account management leveraging institutional relationships.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with frequent territory transitions.
- Experience with community and institutional engagement (preferred).
- Experience pulling through implementation of inpatient formularies/protocols/pathways/order sets.
- Strong market assessment/prioritization, learning agility, and CRM (e.g., Veeva) proficiency.
Other Requirements
- Travel up to 80%; work after hours as needed; establish required customer credentials (training/background screens/drug testing/vaccinations).
- Valid driverβs license.
Pay Range
- $133,600 - $200,400.
