General/Position Summary
- Field-based Pain Regional Account Manager providing flexible coverage across the Pain Business Unit to address territory vacancies, leaves of absence, and priority business needs. Reports to the Area Field Leader; deployed based on regional business need. Temporary deployments typically last ~10–12 weeks; work/travel within the territory during the week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide immediate, flexible regional coverage; deploy using AFL-led prioritization.
- Step in quickly for PTAM/TBM coverage with limited ramp time.
- Own customer engagement, account execution/pull-through, and territory planning while deployed.
- Execute structured handoff/transition to ensure continuity of customer relationships and account plans.
- Support onboarding/ramp-up of new reps via territory knowledge transfer and field coaching.
- Establish/maintain relationships with HCPs, priority accounts, health systems, and stakeholders.
- Assess new environments, prioritize opportunities/risks, and adapt engagement strategies.
- Execute territory/account plans aligned to commercial objectives; maintain performance continuity and recovery support.
- Use Veeva and approved systems to document activity and updates.

Training & Capability Development
- Maintain readiness for PTAM/TBM responsibilities; complete required deployment/readiness and compliance training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years pharmaceutical/biotech field sales experience.
- 3+ years account management experience; ability to leverage institutional relationships.
- Proven success operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with frequent transitions.

Required/Preferred Skills
- Experience with inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways, order sets.
- Strong market assessment/prioritization, adaptability, collaboration, and CRM proficiency (e.g., Veeva).

Other Requirements
- Travel up to 80%; work after hours as needed; establish required customer credentials (training/background screens/drug testing/vaccinations); valid driver’s license.
